Poly-B Removal and Water line Replacement

Disciple Homes & Improvements Inc. will replace your existing Poly-B (polybutylene) plumbing with PEX (cross linked polyethylene), copper, or another safe alternative. The replacement of Poly-B plumbing is important to prevent future water damage or to fix existing water damage.

The replacement of Poly-B plumbing with a safer alternative requires walls to be opened up so that all of the pipe is accessible. Then the pipe and joints can be replaced before the wall is patched and painted. Sometimes parts of the flooring and ceilings will need to be removed as well to access the existing Poly-B pipes.

How do you know if you have Poly-B pipes? Look under your sink or in your furnace room for light gray plastic pipes that often have a PB2110 or Poly-B potable stamp.
